When a client approached us to help her update her home for the first time in 30 years, we jumped at the chance. The beautiful, traditional Georgian red brick home was filled with antiques the owner had accumulated over many years of travel, and just needed a refresh to highlight the home’s timeless beauty.
One of our favorite projects in the home was renovating the bar. The space hadn’t been touched since the home was initially built. With a few small updates, we transformed the space. The fabric walls were replaced with hand-blocked Gailbraith and Paul “Little Lotus” wallpaper and the dark wood cabinets were painted Decorator’s White from Benjamin Moore, one of our favorite clean, crisp white paints.
We sourced a remnant of Statuario marble for the countertop and backsplash. The plantation shutters were removed to bring in more natural light, and replaced with a simple white linen Roman shade, trimmed in Samuel & Sons tape trim.
Other updates include a new ice maker and wine refrigerator, and new hardware for the cabinets.
The end result is quite the transformation! We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and we know the client will enjoy using it for years to come.
