Texas artist Erika Huddleston is one of our favorite local talents. What we love most about Erika’s work is that her pieces are drawn and painted entirely outdoors over a period of time. She carries her canvas down to creeks and rivers and sits patiently on the ground while she works, drawing every detail of the landscape life-size, filling in with her pretty palette of paint. Over the years, her work has grown to include sculpture installations and has gained recognition. She was a finalist for the Hunting Prize in Houston and Texas Monthly included her in their list of “Ten Texas Artists to Collect Now.”  Erika has painted major bodies of work onsite in public parks along Waco Creek in Waco, Shoal Creek in Austin, the Trinity River in Dallas and most recently in the Ramble in New York City’s Central Park. We hope you check out Erika’s website for a little more information about her and her upcoming exhibitions. XO, Lindley
