We adore hand-painted Chinoiserie wallpaper. It’s timeless, elegant and introduces beautiful color into a space. It’s on my bucket list to one day completely cover my dining room in green Gracie wallpaper.

But, it’s an investment. One of our favorite tricks is to select a beautiful hand-painted wallpaper for a home and frame as panels. Our clients can still have the look – but at a fraction of the price.

Take a peek at some recent installations of Chinoiserie panels in our clients’ homes below.

In my dining room, a pair of Gracie “Hampton Garden” panels frame an antique Directoire buffet I found in Atlanta.

Lead designer Katie Head designed this large pair of Gracie panels in her client’s foyer. The birds and butterflies were matched to a blue Benjamin Moore paint color, and the ground is a custom shade of alabaster.

This trio of Gracie panels was installed by our lead designer Callie Moroney. They dress up the large wall in the client’s dining room. The metallic ground and bright colors are gorgeous!

I installed this pair of Fromental panels to flank a door in my client’s living room. This paper is actually not hand-painted, can you believe it? The colors are beautiful and give us a palette to thread throughout the home.

And finally, this pair of Gracie “Hampton Garden” panels is the focal point of our client’s dining room. We scaled the design to fit the lower ceiling height in the original University Park home.

As with anything custom – these panels have a longer lead time (typically about three months). But everything can be customized – the size, colors, even the type of foliage and birds in the design.
